BEIJING, Jan. 21, 2009 -- Approved by the Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Culture, a cultural exchange activity between central China's Henan province and Australia will kick off in Sydney on January 26, both New Year's Day in China's lunar calendar and Australia Day. The eight-day activity, which runs from January 26 to February 2, will feature Henan's culture, investment and tourism. Other highlights will also include: a float parade, musical and dance performance, tourism promotion, etc. Moreover, an agreement will be signed to tie the friendship knot between Henan province and New South Wales during the activity. In cooperated with the People's Government of Henan Province and the Chinese embassy in Australia, the relevant departments of the People's Government of Henan province and enterprises have made full preparations after the six-month endeavor. This is the first time Henan has held such cultural exchange activity abroad. |
