Wang Yan

Wang Yan, member of China Photography Association and Anhui Photography Association, secretary-general of National Urban Photo League, vice chairman of Hefei Photography Association, was born in 1963. He started to learn the fine arts in 1978 and then began learning printmaking and oil painting in 1980.

Main achievements:
Oct. 2008: Wang received the World Professional Photographers Award (PPA).
Aug. 2006: His work Purity was chosen By The Shanghai Library as its permanent collection.
Feb. 2006: His essay Dreams Flying in the Universe was published on Photo China. He received the Gold Medal for “Social Life and Local Customs” as well as Gold Medal of Creative Awards in 11th International Photographic Art Exhibition
Oct. 2004: His work Flowing Light and Color won the First Prize of the Photography Competition during 6th China Photographic Art Festival
May 2003: His album of painting — Wang Yan Body Art Photography was published.
Apr. 2002: “Traveling Show of Wang Yan Body Art Photography” was held all over China.
