Brief
Liu Zhengxing is good at different brush works, especially sketch. In his youth many of his works were published on “People’s Daily”, “Guangming Daily”, “China Culture”, “Literature and Arts”, “Sichuan Literature”, “Mass Literature”. His publications include Best Landscape Paintings of Liu Zhengxing, Shudao Feelings Collections of Liu Zhengcheng & Liu Zhengxing, Landscape Paintings Collection Series of Liu Zhengxing, Oil Painting Collections of "Appearance of Color with Color" and Oil Painting Collections of "Sichuan is Still Beautiful" etc. He has also held personal exhibitions of paintings in Japan, Korea and Taiwan. 1960s, he practiced opaque watercolor painting and oil painting, and created series of watercolor paintings and oil paintings include Fu River, Southern River and Sand River etc. 1970s, he created oil paintings series of "Scenery of Nanping of Jiuzhai Valley ", scratchboard including "Rooted Under the Tree", "Mountain Flowers" and "The Death of Bruno" etc. 1980s, he created scratchboard "Weaving Woman", "Great Homeland" and "Liberation" etc. He also created Chinese paintings include "Travel of Heroes", "Dadu river" and "Besides Qingyi River" etc. 1990s, his selected Chinese paintings are "Horse Village" series, "Qingyi River" series, and "Southern Silk Road" etc. Since 2000, he created a lot of compositions, including the largest sketch at the scene ever in China "Shuimo Sichuan", wash painting series "Dwellings" and "Landscape", and oil paintings of "Appearance of Color with Color" and "Sichuan is Still Beautiful".
Liu Zhengxing, born in 1952 at Chengdu, is a famous ink-and-wash painter and oil painter. He is member of Chinese Artists Association, vice president of Sichuan Artists Association, president of Chengdu Artists Association, commissioner of China Literature Association, dean of Sichuan Paining and Calligraphy Academy under Jiu San Society, deputy dean of Central Paining and Calligraphy Academy under Jiu San Society, producer of Chinese Calligraphy Collected Edition, commissioner of Zhou Shaohua studio art panel, and member of the standing committee of Chengdu CPPCC.
