Jia Shiyong

Jia Shiyong was born in Jinzhou, Hebei province in 1969. In 1982 he studied flowers and birds painting under local artist Mr. Cai Bangwen — his first teacher, and then in 1987 he studied landscape painting under Mr. Pang Rongnian, director of Institute of Calligraphy and Painting in Jinzhou City. He was admitted in the Painting Department of Hebei Normal University in 1991, and studied flowers and birds painting under Master Guo Shifu of Beijing Painting Academy in 2004. Now he is the deputy director of Institute of Calligraphy and Painting in Jinzhou City, Hebei Province, Art Director of Chinese Painting Masters Net, member of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference’s Jinzhou Committee, member of Hebei Artists’ Association, and member of Hebei Yong Calligraphy and Painting Artists Creation Center.
